“ It is really hard to find proper Fish n' Chips in most places. Arizona seems to be especially challenging, outside of pop-ups like Nelson's Meat+Fish or fish.pop (or my house). So it was a fantastic surprise to randomly run across Evan's when in Flag for the weekend. We already had stuff booked for the day and night that I spotted Evan's. But the next day after checking out of our stay at 11a, we decided to kill an hour so driving around looking at real estate until Evan's opened. So glad we did. The Cod n' Chips came out fast and hot as balls. Scarfed it down while parked in the truck, before hitting the road. Definitely want to try more of the menu next time, especially Steak & Ale Pie, and Curry Sauce for the Chips. Owner was engaged and charming. I can imagine they really get in the weeds when things get busy, as the shop is tiny and thinly staffed. I think they stay open really late on the weekends, and that must be nuts at times. ”

“ I walked in first thing and ordered my food and since it's made from scratch, I knew may take some time. I ordered the all three savory pie flavors and sticky toffee pudding and they were all wonderful, however, by the end, my family was fighting over the steak and ale pie. Had a nice conversation with the owner and found out it's woman owned, which I am happy to support. Though it is a small place, it had a very familial feel. I highly recommend visiting this awesome little place as you cruise through Flagstaff. ”

The shop is small like a chippie in England. Don't let the lack of seating dissuade you. Service was friendly and fast. The fish & chips were absolutely delicious, fresh, and hot Evans offered nuevo tartar sauces to dip. The shrimp was delectable! Dare I say, one of the BEST I ever had Mushy peas had great favor, although I like mine a little more runny. Give it a shot, not your normal pea ”

“ I love fish and chips and Evans didn't disappoint. The fish was a nice and big, good flavor and cooked well. The chips (fries) were also cooked very well. The place is small and is meant to just sit and enjoy your meal quickly so I took my order to go. Staff was very friendly and my meal was prepared quickly. Would definitely come back to try their other menu items. ”

“ Been by a few times now and surprisingly the fish isn't why I wanna go back. The fish is good, but I think their pies are better. It was a very pleasant surprise, as I feel like the pork pie is something you can't find elsewhere in Flagstaff. Please note that the inside is really only to order and take your food to go. There are some seats in the nearby alley, but the cleanliness can vary on the day. ”

“ Evans Fish and Chips was such a hidden gem! We arrived late in Flagstaff and we weren't really looking for a sit down restaurant but in typical fashion, still wanted something of quality. Looking over the menu, it's pretty compact but contains many of the British favorites. We opted for the fish and shrimp and chips, sausage roll, and a curry chicken pie. All the fried foods were freshly fried and lasted the 5 minute ride back to the hotel. Everything was so tasty! I was especially impressed by the shrimp which were succulent and juicy and also XL shrimps! The sausage roll was also flakey and buttery and as advertised, straight out of the oven! The pie was also chocked full of potatoes and shredded chicken and was seasoned well with curry. I also appreciate that all the fried food wasn't overly fried, salty, or oily. Our meal with tip came to about $57. ”
